there were about seven sketch ideas for other more minorish villians that i scrapped in my series after the first round of uploads from last week were complete-this was one of them. i deided to pull them out of the trash and finish the whole thing. this guy's eyes both creeped me out and fasinated me at the same time so that is the feature that i decided to focus on for this character. my cousin tries to argue with me that the kokouyen is black blaze's japanese name-he needs to go back and look at the subtitles which clearly spell kokouyen when the villian says who he is in that epsiode he is in which is where i got the japanese version from. black blaze's japanese name is something on the order of kokuen-i can't get the actual spelling but its got to be close to that. so anyway in the background as much as possible i wanted to mirror that almost fish scale diamond pattern on the guy's armor. i did that as best as i could with silver on blue line gradients and then played around with the lightning to give it some pizazz.
